Athletic Philosophy

Athletics are an integral and necessary part of the total curriculum at Baltimore Collegiate School for Boys. As an extension of the academic classroom and traditional school day, athletics are designed to affirm and promote the Collegiate values and engage student-athletes fully in mind, body, and spirit. Our athletic program is also a curriculum in itself, a place where our young men learn leadership, teamwork, self-motivation, discipline, sacrifice,  competitiveness, and time management. Student-athletes, coaches, and parents are called upon to work together in a true spirit of sportsmanship to assist in creating a competitive and learning environment.

We believe that participating in competitive athletics is a vital part of every Baltimore Collegiate gentleman's educational experience whether he is a student-athlete, manager, statistician or spectator. This will lead to a healthy body and mind and the skills learned by working as part of a team, including self-discipline, emotional maturity, and respect for others. he importance of brotherhood, commitment, and a system of morals.
